In collaboration with Digital Scholarship@Oxford (DiSc) and the Digital Hub at Jesus College, the Oxford Centre for Textual Editing and Theory (OCTET) is organising a brief introduction to Digital Scholarly Editing on 2 November 2022 (5pm – 6pm) at Jesus College’s Ship Street Centre (University of Oxford). The speakers are Emma Huber and Joshua Schäuble.

How are digital scholarly editions made, how can they be used, and what support is available? This event, organized by the Oxford Centre for Textual Editing and Theory (OCTET), Digital Scholarship @ Oxford (DiSc) and the Digital Hub at Jesus College, will introduce to two initiatives that facilitate the making of digital scholarly editions. Emma Huber will present the Taylor Editions and introduce the training programme in creating digital editions, led by staff at the Taylor Institution Library. Joshua Schäuble will present a virtual research environment called ‘Manuscript Web’ which facilitates the scholarly work of editing of modern manuscripts and visualizing connections between them.
